Police in Kathmandu on Sunday have arrested a man on the charge of misbehaving with a health official at Nagdhunga of Kathmandu on Friday.
Earlier, a video showing some local men interrogating Dr Narayan Karki, the director of Bagmati Provincial Public Health Laboratory, about precautions that he had taken during his journey had gone viral. The youth had also searched his bags and other belongings. Social media users had protested the move.
The arrestee has been identified as Uttam Karki. The chief of the Metropolitan Police Range in Kathmandu, SSP Shyam Lal Gyawali, says he will be charged under the law on indecent behaviours.
