Biratnagar, January 6
Province 1 Chief Minister Sher Dhan Rai says his government is unable to meet the aspirations of the people as the centre interferes in the running of affairs in his province.
He said that the centre had not formulated all the laws required by the provincial governments to manage their provinces. “We don’t know if the centre has realised this or not, but we are feeling uneasy over its dallying over the formulation of necessary laws,” said Rai speaking at a programme in Biratnagar on Monday. “The situation we are in right now… we haven’t been able to incorporate the true spirit of federalism. If this is to continue, we will face hurdles in the implementation of federalism,” he said.
He said that governments at all levels need to coordinate efforts to make laws related to the common list.
