Prime Ministers from Nepal and India have inaugurated the Nepal-India petroleum pipeline on Tuesday.
Both PM KP Sharma Oli and PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the pipeline by pressing switches at Singha Durbar and New Delhi respectively. The two leaders held a video conference before inaugurating the pipeline.
Speaking after inaugurating the pipeline, PM Oli said that the pipeline was a big achievement for Nepal.
Similarly, PM Modi said that India would be helping out Nepal on projects of national importance. He said that he was quite surprised that work on the pipeline had been completed so soon. He also added that all Nepal-India joint projects were going on at a decent pace and both countries were satisfied with progress achieved.
PM Modi said that he will visit Nepal soon.
