After coroners said they would need next few hours to conduct the postmortem of the victims of Taplejung helicopter crash, the government has postponed a function organised to pay last tributes to them.
Earlier, the government had announced to keep the body of Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari at Tundikhel for last tributes.
Now, the function will be held at 8 am on Friday.

Taplejung crash victims’ bodies to be kept at Tundikhel for last tributes
Kathmandu, February 28
Preparations have begun to bring bodies of Tourism Minister Rabindra Adhikari and six others, who were killed in a helicopter crash in Taplejung district on Wednesday afternoon, to Kathmandu.
Taplejung’s Chief District Officer Anuj Bhandari informs that the bodies have been currently kept at the Suketar airport. They will be airlifted to the capital once the weather improves, according to him.
“Currently, there is thick fog,” he says, “But we are ready. We will send the bodies to Kathmandu once the weather improves.”
In Kathmandu, the bodies will be directly taken to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital from the Tribhuvan International Airport for postmortem.
After the autopsy, the government has planned to keep the bodies at Tundikhel for the final tributes. Then, the bodies will be handed over to the kin.
Parents of Minister Adhikari have come to Kathmandu on Wednesday to receive the body.
It has been learned that the family of Minister Adhikari is preparing to do the funeral in his hometown Pokhara.
