The French Embassy in Kathmandu hosted a panel discussion on the theme ‘power to imagination’ in Kathmandu on Thursday.

It was a part of the global ‘Night of Ideas’ debate event that the French government hosts, the Embassy informs.

During the programme, entrepreneur Aayushi KC, Nepali journalists Akhilesh Upadhyay and Subina Shestha, and French journalist Richard Werly shared their opinions about how imagination drives the evolution of Nepali society in a global context. TV personality Suminma Udas had moderated the discussion.

French Ambassador to Nepal Yves Carmona had opened the programme with his remarks that highlighted recent changes in the world of information communication technology, and their impact on people’s lives.

The attendees included heads of mission and representatives of various embassies in Kathmandu, senior officers from the Government of Nepal, researchers, students, and representatives of media.

Nepal Economic Forum (NEF) and the Alliance Française de Katmandou (AFK) had partnered with the Embassy to host the event.
