Nepali documentary film, Sunakali, based on the life of a passionate lady footballer from Mugu of mid-western Nepal and her team journey to the national championship, is participating in the 13th Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in Tatarstan.
The winners of the Festival will be announced today.
The 13th edition of the Festival had received over 700 entries from 61 countries, and 60 of them were shortlisted to compete in six categories.
This is the first time when a Nepali film participates in the competition segment of Kazan film Festival.
Kazan Muslim Film Festival is one of the largest film forums held annually in the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.
