Vote counting for NC CWC positions on Wednesday

Kathmandu, March 8

Counting of votes, which candiates vying for seats in the 61-member Nepali Congress central working committee have secured, will begin only on Wednesday, Gopal Krishna Ghimire, member of the central election committee, said on Tuesday. At the NC’s 13th general convention, 302 candidates are fighting for 61 CWC positions.

On Tuesday, the committee said, it will count the votes that candidates fighting for the posts of general secretary and treasurer have secured. Efforts are afoot to count the votes from 1 pm, at the NC party office in Sanepa.
