Chairman of the CPN-Revolutionary Maoist, Mohan Baidya, has objected to the government decision to postpone local level elections in eight districts of Province 2, saying it was just “a drama.”

Issuing a press statement today, the Maoist leader said his party was firm that the current constitution cannot solve problems facing the nation and give people their rights; hence demanded that the constitution be scrapped and a new one be written for the establishment of people’s republic.

The leader has also commented that the government decision did not fully satisfy the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal, for which it was said to have been made.

Further, the decision exposed the government’s unstable mindset and working style, he added in the statement.
