Kathmandu, August 28
Four employees trapped inside the Rasuwa Hydropower Plant have been safely rescued.
The rescued employees have been identified as Bhakta Bahadur Majhi, Bal Bahadur Majhi, Rajan BK and Sunil Majhi. According to the secretariat of Energy Minister Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, a rescue team brought the employees to safety despite adverse weather conditions.
Preparations are also underway for a possible rescue operation at the Trishuli-3B Hydropower Project.
Although adverse weather conditions have caused some delays, rescue operations in the affected areas are being continued as a high priority, according to the minister’s secretariat.
A dedicated helicopter equipped with necessary rescue materials has been deployed to rescue people trapped at the flood-affected Upper Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project.
A team carrying the equipment required to safely rescue people trapped inside tunnels has also been dispatched to the project site.
