On the final day of election campaigning, top leaders of three major parties have reached Bharatpur Metropolitan City of Chitwan district to address their parties’ mass meetings.
Prime Minister and CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba are addressing a joint mass meeting of their parties. The two parties have jointly fielded Maoist leader Renu Dahal, daughter of PM Dahal, in the mayoral race of the city.
The two parties have fielded NC’s Parbati Shah for the election of deputy mayor.
Likewise, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is addressing another mass meeting of his party. UML’s Devi Gyawali and Divya Acharya will contest against Dahal and Rawal respectively.
It has been learned that Dahal will return to Kathmandu after the function whereas Deuba will head toward Lamjung.
Oli will address three other functions besides the one in Bharatpur.
