17 govt staff, housing company owners face case for registering river bank as individual property

Kathmandu, January 10

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority has filed a corruption case against 17 former and present government staff and housing company owners for their alleged involvement in registering the bank of Karmanasa river in Lalitpur as an individual property.

The constitutional anti-corruption watchdog filed the case today at the Special Court naming seven government staff, and 10 housing company operators as defendants.

They include the then chief of the District Survey Office Chief Buddhi Man Jaishi, District Land Revenue Office Chief Babu Ram Bhanal and operators of Euro Housing Developers Pvt Ltd and Euro Land Developers Pvt Ltd.
