Kathmandu, November 20
The election committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has made public the list of candidates for the elections to be held next week for its new executive committee.
As per the list, 137 businesspersons will vie for 127 positions in the umbrella organisation of the Nepali private sector.
As per the FNCCI constitution, the outgoing senior vice-president will be appointed the president for the next term. Hence, Shekhar Golchha will be the president for the next three years.
Therefore, the biggest competition will be between Chandra Prasad Dhakal and Kishor Kumar Pradhan for the position of senior vice-president. Dhakal and Pradhan have made their own panels for other crucial positions also.
The elections will be held in Kathmandu on November 26-28.
