UML-Maoist Centre task force forms subcommittees to draft statute, finalise wings’ merger process

A task force formed to draft the interim statute of the unified communist party to be formed after the merger of CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre holds its meeting, in Kathmandu, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

A task force formed to draft the interim statute of the unified communist party to be formed after the merger of CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre has formed two subcommittees to draft the statute and finalise procedures for the merger of sister organisations.

A meeting of the task force headed by Maoist Centre leader Ram Bahadur Thapa formed two panels involving two leaders each for the tasks.

The subcommittees have been given the time of one week to complete the assignments.

UML’s Beduram Bhusal and Maoist Centre’s Barsha Man Pun will draft the interim statute whereas UML’s Gokarna Bista and Maoist Centre’s Giriraj Mani Pokharel.

The task force is working with the mission to prepare the first draft within next 10 days.
