Two-way traffic movement resumes along Narayangadh-Muglin road

File

Kathmandu, May 20

Two-way vehicular movement has resumed along the Narayangadh-Muglin road in Chitwan district from Sunday morning.

The road section was halted after a landslide at Kalikhola of Ichhakamana Rural Municipality district at around 5:30 am today.

According to Muglin Traffic Police Office, the traffic resumed after removal of debris in the area.

The traffic was halted for two hours.

Earlier last week too, another landslide around the same place had obstructed the road.

The road connecting Kathmandu and Pokhara with the East-West Highway is blocked for traffic for six hours every day, from 10 am to 4 pm, as road upgrading and expansion works are underway for last few years. Therefore, the traffic pressure on the road is quite heavy in mornings and evenings.
