Chief Minister of Province 5, Shankar Pokhrel, has said that his government has been making plans to form a Provincial Planning Commission for the development and prosperity of this province.
During a meeting with Head of DFID Nepal, Rurik Marsden, Chief Minister Pokhrel said, “The provincial government has also been accelerating law formulation task.”
He urged the British development agency to move ahead giving priority to result-oriented development projects.
Saying that DFID was ready to collaborate with the provincial government for government-prioritised projects and for systematic urbanisation, Marsden said that the DFID had been working in Nepal’s health sector among others.
