Kathmandu, October 9
Nepal Tourism Board says it will host an event to give evolving tourism entrepreneurs an opportunity to strengthen their business idea and gather investment support.
The Tourism Udhyami Seed Camp will be held in Nepal’s tourism capital, Pokhara, from October 30 to November 4. Interested entrepreneurs can file their applications till October 15.
From among the applicants, 20 finalists will be selected on the basis of the criteria prescribed along with the uniqueness and viability of the idea proposed.
The participating teams of two to four members in each team will be provided with full-fledged mentorship and guidance from the entrepreneurs and experts, to access to entrepreneurial communities, help them in developing the business model, refine and validate their business ideas with the objective of transforming their idea into business.
Following the boot camp, the 20 teams shall make an intense research, work on their business model for a month and again shall make an investment pitch for the Demo Day to be hosted in Kathmandu at larger scale in the presence of public and private sector leaders as well as investors.
Udhyami Innovations Pvt Ltd is partnering with the NTB to host the event.
