Madhubani DM directs Indian side to demolish permanent road, canal built close to no man’s land

Girvar Dayal Singh, District Magistrate of Madhuvani, Bihar, has directed authorities to dismantle a permanent road and canal that the Indian side had built at no man’s land close to Matihani of Mahottari district in Nepal without delay.

Singh issued this directive during a workshop organised at the 48th B Battalion of India’s Seema Sashastra Bal in Jayanagar. Madhubani’s Superintendent of Police Dipak Barnabal and SSB SP Ajit Singh Rathore also called for removal of the structures built close to Nepal’s Matihani and India’s Madhwapur.

A Nepali team, comprising Mahottari Chief District Officer Birendra Yadav, Armed Police Force SP Prakash Shrestha and Nepal Police DSP Shaligram Sharma, among others, had demanded demolition of the road and the canal built at no man’s land.
