Kathmandu, October 11
The CPN-United under the leadership of former minister Ganesh Sah is merging with the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led CPN-Maoist Centre today.
The unification will be announced amidst a function to be organised in Kathmandu this afternoon.
Earlier, the United’s politburo and central committee had decided to merge with the Maoist party after its politburo member Sunil Manandhar made the proposal of unification.
Both parties are constituents of current ruling coalition.
