Kathmandu, July 18

The CPN-Revolutionary Maoist led by Mohan Baidya has called ‘revolutionary forces’ to get unified with the party for polarisation of leftist forces.

The party says it has adopted the policy of unification with an objective to form an unified revolutionary Communist party after achievements of the decade-long ‘people’s war’ and other movements have been shattered; issues of nationalism, people’s rule and livelihood have become more serious; and the rightist reformism has been more influential.

The fringe party, however, has clarified that such unification can take place with only those forces which do not accept the current constitution, which the party claims to be regressive, and accept the use of force for revolution.

Meanwhile, the party reviewed that its decision to take part in local level elections was right despite more pessimistic results than expected.

The party had participated in the polls in the name of Deshbhakta Janaganatantrik Morcha led by its Vice-Chairman CP Gajurel.
