Those securing first, second and third positions in various categories were awarded with the cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively.

Speaking at the function, Minister Prasain said the government was planning to introduce new projects to extend support to underprivileged farmers. She also urged staff to become farmer-friendly.

Meanwhile, the Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT) under the Ministry of Agricultural Development says four of the awardees were PACT grant receipients.
