Kathmandu, May 3
Three of the six people who were missing since an avalanche in Bolin, Byas rural municipality-1 of the Darchula district in Sudurpaschim on Tuesday have been found dead.
Chief District Officer Kiran Joshi says three others are still missing, and the security personnel have been mobilised for the search.
Of the deceased, only one has been identified as Praveen Kunwar (18), a resident of Juhu. The two others are women.
The Armed Police Force says 12 persons were missing yesterday, but six were rescued later.
The missing persons were in the mountainous area in search of yarsagumba, a high-value fungus used for medicinal purposes.
