Social media platform X has asked the government for details of the documents required for registration.
On Friday, X sent an email to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology requesting information on the necessary documents for the process.
“X contacted us asking what documents are required for registration. We have responded to them by email,” said ministry spokesperson Gajendra Thakur in a statement to Onlinekhabar.
The government’s move to restrict the operation of social media platforms has sparked widespread debate both in favour and against the decision.
