Kathmandu, May 27
A writ petition challenging the appointment of newly-appointed Governor Bishwanath Paudel has been registered at the Supreme Court.
The court has scheduled the hearing for Wednesday.
Lawyers Anantaraj Luintel, Bishal Thapa, and Pratibha Upreti filed the petition, claiming Paudel’s appointment was unconstitutional. They allege irregularities in the appointment process and argue that Paudel is affiliated with a political party.
