Will have an open conversation with China: PM Prachanda

Kathmandu, March 21

Prime Minister Prachanda, who is to embark on an official visit to China on Thursday, says he wants to have an ‘open conversation’ with the Chinese government.

Prachanda, who is to meet President Xi Jinping next week, said his visit’s focus would be on implementing past agreements, rather than signing new ones.

“We will present our agenda before the president. We will also reach an understanding on developine Sino-Nepal ties in the days to come,” Maoist Centre MP Haribol Gajurel quoted the Prime Minister as saying to his party leaders.

The PM urged everyone to prepare for local elections, and not doubt that the elections will be held on time. “We are in dialogue with the Madheshi Morcha and will soon reach an agreement,” he explained.
