Kathmandu, February 29

Nepali women’s team striker Sabitra Bhandari ‘Samba’ will miss the final of the WAFF Women’s Championship against Jordan.

As the WAFF Championship final is out of the FIFA window, Bhandari will have to return to France and rejoin her club En Avant Guingamp.

On Wednesday, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) officially informed that Bhandari will miss the final of the WAFF Championship.

According to the club’s contract with Bhandari, she was allowed to play for her country in the FIFA window.

Bhandari has scored 9 goals in four matches of the tournament.

“I have to honour my contract and go back but I believe that our team will maintain the rhythm even in the finals and take the title home,” she said.

The final will take place at 9.45 pm.
