Kathmandu, December 16
Nepal secured a six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the ongoing ACC U-19 Women’s Asia Cup cricket tournament in Malaysia. Chasing a target of 105 runs, Nepal achieved the win with an over to spare. Captain Puja Mahato led the team to victory with an unbeaten 47 runs. Contributions also came from Soni Pakhrin (13 runs) and opener Sana Praveen (10 runs).
Earlier, Pakistan posted 104 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 20 overs, with Komal Khan top-scoring with 38 runs.
This defeat marks Pakistan’s second loss in the tournament, having already lost to India in their opening match.
With this win, Nepal has advanced to the Super Four stage and will face India tomorrow.
