U-19 Women’s Asia Cup: Match abandoned due to rain, Nepal and Sri Lanka share points

Kathmandu, December 19

The Super-4 match between Nepal and Sri Lanka in the ongoing U-19 Women’s Asia Cup in Malaysia was abandoned due to rain.

Following the match’s suspension, both teams were awarded one point each.

The game, held at the Bayuemas Oval Cricket Ground in Kuala Lumpur, was halted shortly after it began due to rain. Nepal had opted to field first after winning the toss, but the match was interrupted following the completion of the first over.

Nepal had secured their place in the Super-4 stage with a commanding six-wicket victory over Pakistan in their opening match.

In the group stage, Nepal and India had also shared a point each after their final group game was washed out due to rain. Based on net run rate, India emerged as the Group A winner, with Nepal finishing as the runner-up.
