Kathmandu, December 4
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Monday arrested two non-gazetted officials of the Kalanki-based Land Revenue Office while they were allegedly receiving bribe.
Nayab subbas Sher Bahadur Thapa and Narayan Mani Khanal were arrested while they were taking the kickback of Rs 30,000 today, according to the anti-corruption constitutional body.
It has been said that they had demanded the bribe to provide a land ownership certificate to the service recipient.
The Commission’s spokesperson Khagendra Prasad Rijal says further investigation is underway.
