Butwal, June 23
Two persons died when a passenger bus hit a motorbike in Sainamaina of Rupandehi district along the East-West Highway on Saturday night.
The bus (Na 7 Kha 5948) heading to Kathmandu from Mahendranagar hit the motorbike (Lu 8 Pa 8475) at Kaloni, Sainamanina Municipality-6 last night, according to police.
The bus hit sparked a fire at the bike and two persons riding the two wheeler died on the spot, according to Police Inspector Rabin Raj Mainali, chief of Saljhandi Area Police Office.
Police say they are yet to identify the victims as documents in their possession were destroyed in the fire.
The bodies have been kept at the Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal.
Police have arrested the bus driver for further investigation.
