Kathmandu, December 14
Two persons have died when a truck fell off the road in Banbhanjyang, Chandragiri municipality, on the western outskirts of Kathmandu, on Sunday night.
The truck (Na 2 Ka 323) had fallen off around 150 metres down the road, killing Manish Karki and Man Kumar Majhi, residents of Sindhuli. Karki in his mid-20s was the accountant for Marin Construction whereas Majhi was driving the vehicle.
“The vehicle owner informed us that the vehicle was missing since last night,” DSP Ghana Shyam Shrestha of the Metropolitan Police Circle in Thankot says, “Hence, the incident must be missing from last night.”
Efforts are underway to take the bodies out of the cliff, according to Shrestha.
