Update 14.50 NST: An inmate has been killed and another injured during a clash between two people inside the Nakkhu Prison on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Purna Bahadur Raji, who was awaiting trial on a culpable homicide case.

Two inmates were injured following a clash between them inside the Nakkhu prison in Lalitpur on Friday.
According to the prison’s administrators, inmate Purna Bahadur Raji was attacked by Pawan Kumar Mahato, who has been charged with culpable homicide. Mahato attacked Raji with a cement block and Raji retaliated, police said.
Raji was rushed to Bir Hospital following the incident. Mahato has been sent to Lalitpur Police Office in Jawalakhel. It was not immediately clear why the Mahato attacked Raji. An investigation is on.
