Kathmandu, March 19

When the government decided to postpone all university examinations indefinitely citing growing coronavirus fears, the Tribhuvan University still chose to conduct the exams of various levels and programmes scheduled for Thursday. However, the university today finally decided to postpone all the exams to be held on and after Friday till the next notice.

A meeting of the university’s executive council on Thursday afternoon made the decision. “The examinations will not be held after tomorrow,” TU Vice-Chancellor Dharma Kanta Baskota says, adding the meeting also decided to close all teaching-learning activities till April 12 as per the government decision.

The TU says the academic schedules affected by the closing will be adjusted with available winter/summer holidays in the next seasons.

PSC also postpones exams

Meanwhile, the Public Service Commission also postponed all the scheduled examinations until the next notice.
