Top leaders to address first meeting of HoR

Kathmandu, April 1

Top leaders of political parties will address the first meeting of the House of Representatives. An all-party meeting held on Tuesday discussed the agenda for the first meeting, which will be chaired by the senior-most member of the House.

Sharing details of the discussion, Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Kabindra Burlakoti said there was also a discussion about leaders delivering goodwill messages during the session. “There is a plan for top leaders of the parties to extend goodwill during the first meeting, with time allocation to be determined accordingly,” he said.

Similarly, Nepal Communist Party lawmaker Barshaman Pun confirmed that party leaders would address the session. “Tomorrow marks the commencement of the first session, where there will be remarks and expressions of goodwill from the parties,” he said.

Burlakoti added that further consultation is needed regarding the composition of the Business Advisory Committee. “As the number of RSP members is relatively high and there is a desire to accommodate representatives from other parties as well, we need to hold internal discussions within the party,” he said.
