Police have arrested a tipper truck driver in Udayapur with 199 kilograms of marijuana.
A team deployed from the District Police Office, Udayapur, arrested the driver with the contraband from the Maruwa Khola area of Katari Municipality-4.
According to police, the marijuana was found while checking a tipper truck, registration number Na. 7 Kha 8173, at around 1:45 am on August 23 as it was travelling from Beteni toward Katari.
Police arrested 21-year-old Som Magar, a permanent resident of Devdaha Municipality-7, Rupandehi, who was residing in Katari Municipality-4.
Police said an investigation is underway to determine where the marijuana was sourced and where it was being transported.
