Kathmandu, January 11

The Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has said it will no longer be issuing visitor passes to people.

Citing an increase in Covid-19 cases, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has issued a notice that it will not be issuing these passes unless extremely important.

Along with that, the CAAN has also asked people not to crowd the airport and requested people to stop dropping and picking people off from the TIA.

Nepal’s only international airport has been asking people not to crowd airports for quite some time, but people have not been adhering to its request.

These measures are being taken to ensure that Covid-19 does not spread through the airport, informs CAAN officials.
