Three people, including the driver, died and one person sustained serious injuries when a mini-truck numbered Na 6 Kha 9372 met with an accident at Kotila Bhir, Badki VDC-2, Jumla district, at 8.30 am on Thursday.
Police identified the dead as Tirtha Ram Tharu (driver) of Mainapokhar-8, Bardiya, Ranga Bahadur Shahi and Ganga Shahi of Kalai-4, Mugu district.
It is learnt that the seriously injured individual is the driver’s handyman. He is receiving treatment at Jumla-based Karnali Health Science Academy. Police are yet to ascertain his identity.
