CPN-UML leader Thakur Gaire has taken a swipe at the four-hour meeting between Prime Minister Balendra Shah, popularly known as Balen, and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane.
In a social media post, Gaire borrowed Lamichhane’s own words to question the purpose of the meeting, which took place on Wednesday after nearly two months.
“Will the four-hour, highly confidential discussion between the RSP chair and the prime minister after nearly two months remove an old thorn or drive a new one into the wound?” Gaire wrote.
Gaire’s remark referred to Lamichhane’s New Year 2083 greeting, in which the RSP chair had described the year as one to “remove thorns.”
