Biratnagar, April 3
A man died in a lightning strike at Ambegudin Lhasatole, Sirijungha rural municipality-2 of the Taplejung district in eastern Nepal on Saturday evening.
The victim has been identified as Mukesh Bhattarai (23), a local volleyball player.
The district police office says he was hit by the lightning strike at around 8:30 pm yesterday.
Seriously injured in the incident, he was rushed to the Tellok Primary Health Centre, where health workers declared him dead.
