Kathmandu, November 15
A former secretary of the government of Nepal, Suresh Man Shrestha, has been recommended for the vacant position of the Province 3 Public Service Commission. The provincial governments are forming public service commissions to appoint their staff for the first time after the promulgation of the 2015 constitution.
A three-member team led by Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel recommended Shrestha. Provincial Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha and main opposition leader Indra Baniya were other members of the selection panel.
Meanwhile, the panel failed to recommend two other members of the commission. The provincial Governor will make the appointments endorsing the recommended names.
