Kathmandu, May 7

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has appointed Surendra Raj Acharya of the Nepali Congress as the minister for women, children and senior citizens.

This comes just a few days after three leaders of the Congress party were inducted into the cabinet.

Acharya took the oath of office and secrecy from President Ram Chandra Paudel on Sunday afternoon.

As a new minister has been appointed to lead the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, the current minister Mahindra Raya Yadav has been shifted to the Ministry of Water Supply so far being led by the prime minister.

With the expansion again, the cabinet is still incomplete as the Ministry of Forests and Environment is still led by the prime minister.
