Kathmandu, November 2

A full court meeting of the Supreme Court, attended by all justices, which began on Monday morning, is still underway.

Although the day’s cause list has been published, the justices have not taken their seats in the benches and have continued discussions in the full court meeting.

According to the Supreme Court administration, the meeting is likely to continue at least until lunchtime. The justices will return to their benches only after the meeting concludes.

The meeting was called by Chief Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma on Monday morning to discuss current issues after WhatsApp messages and other details involving Sharma and Justice Hari Phuyal became public, prompting questions within the Supreme Court.

Following the release of the messages, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) also discussed the possibility of filing an impeachment motion. The party has since left the decision on how to proceed to its parliamentary party.
