Nepal Oil Corporation says it will build a big storage facility in the Sudurpaschim province that would suffice the petroleum supply for 90 days.

A study has begun to build the facility in the Godavari municipality of Kailali district recently.

Commerce and Supplies Minister Lekh Raj Bhatta and NOC Executive Director Surendra Paudel visited the proposed construction site on Sunday.

The NOC provincial office says a process has begun to acquire the land.

The government has already announced a plan to build such a storage facility in each of the seven provinces. The corporation hopes the project would save millions of rupees every month.
