Kathmandu, February 5
A Nepal Police SSP is under police net for investigation into the smuggling of 34 kg of gold into Kathmandu from Dubai via air.
A team from the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested SSP Shyam Khatri from Nepal Police headquarters.
NP had recalled SSP Khatri from Tribhuvan International Airport on the suspicion of his involvement in gold smuggling, in the wake of arrest of some TIA customs employees in the same case.
Police, though, are yet to identify the owner of the consignment.
