Dadeldhura, February 27
Daily life of people in hilly districts of farwestern Nepal has been affected due to snowfall since Tuesday night.
Upper settlements of Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Bajhang, Doti, Bajura and Darchula districts have been affected.
Temperature has significantly come down due to the snowfall accompanied by incessant rainfall. People have been unable to come out of their houses. Consequently, government offices and marketplaces have received a few visitors on Wednesday.
The worst hit by the weather change are children, elderly people and daily wage earners. Farmers are worried about likely impacts of the snowfall on their crops.
It is the first time in past two decades that these districts witnessed snowfall after mid-February.
