Sindhupalchok, July 5
A woman was reportedly raped in Sukute of the Sindhupalchok district, around 50 km east of Kathmandu, recently. Police arrested three persons in connection with the incident.
The 26-year-old woman was asleep at Sukute Beach Adventure Camp Resort in Chautara Sangachokgadhi municipality-9 of the district in the wee hours of Saturday when the incident occurred, according to police.
Looking into the case, the investigators arrested Prince Thapaliya (18), Rus Karki (18) and Sulabh Chhetri (26), all residents of Kalanki in Kathmadnu. Whereas police identified Chhetri as the rapist, the two others have been accused of working as accomplices.
They were arrested at Kalanki of Kathmandu on Sunday night.
Further investigation is underway as the Sindhupalchok District Court has remanded them in custody for seven days.
