The business reality show Shark Tank Nepal is set to premiere on July 2 on Himalaya TV. According to the broadcaster, the show will be broadcast every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 PM.
The panel of sharks for the first season includes Hem Raj Dhakal, Co-Founder of the IME Group, Cabinet Shrestha, Founder of the Agni Group, Ritu Singh Vaidya, Director of Vaidya’s Organization Anand Bagaria, Managing Director of Nimbus Group and Saurabh Jyoti, Director of the Padma Jyoti Group
Originally launched in 2001 in Japan under the name Money Tigers on Nippon TV, the show has now become the world’s most popular business reality TV show. The global franchise, distributed by Sony Pictures Television, has now come to Nepal as its 54th version.
The show is directed by Simos Sunuwar. Across 20 episodes, a total of 100 entrepreneurs will pitch their business and startup ideas, with five entrepreneurs featured per episode. Filming of the show has already been completed.
It is reported that the sharks will invest a total of Rs. 350 to 400 million in selected entrepreneurs.
Himalaya TV has been producing and broadcasting various international reality TV shows in Nepal. Shows such as The Voice of Nepal, Voice Kids, and Himalaya Roadies are currently being aired. Additionally, another international fashion reality show, Nepal’s Next Top Model, is also set to launch this year.
