Janakpurdham, July 21
A 30-year-old man has drowned in a pond in Haraiya, Haripur municipality-4 of the Sarlahi district in southeastern Nepal on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Bhurkur Majhi, a local.
He was missing since last night, but his body was found in the pond this morning, DSP Madhav Prasad Budhathoki, the spokesperson for the District Police Office, says.
Police had used a fishing net to find his body.
It is not immediately known if the drowning is intentional or accidental. Further investigation is underway.
