The chairman of Baghchaur municipality’s ward 4 committee in the Salyan, Prem Bahadur Pun, has barred a citizen in his ward from accessing local government services after he wrote against the ward chair on his Facebook profile.
Local Dil Bahadur KC has been barred from accessing the services unless he ‘corrects’ the error, Pun says in a statement.
Earlier, KC had labelled Pun a ‘chhote raja’ (a wannabe king) on a Facebook post. The ward chair says it was a form of character assassination and an effort to spread rumours about the elected local representatives.
Meanwhile, stakeholders have protested Pun’s move.
