Newly formed Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Democratic’s Chairman Pashupati Shamsher Rana says his party wants to partner with ruling Nepali Congress for the local level elections scheduled for September 18.

Rana says democratic forces should be united, hence efforts are underway to form an alliance with the Congress.

Rana says his party has expected exciting results from upcoming polls though his party has recently been established.

Rana had split the then Rastriya Prajatantra Party last month to form the RPP-Democratic.

“The party split has caused enthusiasm in our cadres,” he said while addressing a function in Janakpur today, “Therefore, our party will fare well in the polls.”

Meanwhile, Rana claimed his party was committed to addressing problems of the Madhesh, adding, “All communities which have been suppressed must be granted rights.”
