The standing committee of Nepal Communist Party has endorsed the political report put forward by chairmen Oli and Dahal, with amendments.
According to party leader Jhalnath Khanal, the standing committee endorsed the report during a meeting on Friday. Committee members informed that the amended report will be sent to the party secretariat.
The committee has also formed a panel to expedite the process of unification between the then UML and Maoist Centre parties. General Secretary Bishnu Poudel, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Shankar Pokharel, Barsha Man Pun, Yogeshwor Bhattarai, Surendra Pandey, Bedram Bhusal and Lekhraj Bhatta have been included in the panel.
According to spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the panel has decided to work on the organisational structure by holding another standing committee meeting later this month.
